Dr Kevin F Scott, MA(Cantab), D.Phil.(Oxon) MRSC, FRMetS, C.Chem., C.Sci.
Kevin Scott has been carrying out scientific research, designing electronic controllers,
developing chemical sensors, writing software,
designing and working with glass, and solving technical problems for more than 40 years.
His published papers cover chromatography, heterogeneous catalysis, surface science, chemical sensors,
computer interfacing, radio-frequency designs, meteorological instrumentation, and instrument repair.
Skills in electronics design and manufacture, glassblowing, and mechanical engineering are all directed
by a vigorous and creative scientific imagination.
He believes that inventions are mostly generated at the intersection of scientific
and technological disciplines and it is at these points that creative solutions to problems are
often to be found.
As new materials, devices and techniques arise, countless benefits can issue from their application to
new areas of science and valuable technological assets can be mined by revisiting old science with the
advantages of new technology. So while aiming always to work at the frontier of scientific development,
this work is never carried out without a sense of history from which, so often, fresh insights may be drawn.
As Principal Director of Meteormetrics Limited, Kevin Scott is eager to apply the resources of the Company and his
own energies to the solution of technical problems in the areas of environmental, chemical and meteorological

Meteormetrics Limited is a company specialising in
high-tech innovation in the field of chemical sensing and measurement,
environmental monitoring and intelligent system control. In these pages

Meteormetrics Limited designs products in the main areas: tradition mercury-free barometers, intelligent,
electronic barographs, and custom environmental monitoring systems.
The Meteor-0ptic Range Sympiesometers, or mercury-free air-barometers have assumed great importance in the wake of European
Directives against the use of mercury in domestic of public areas. Meteormetrics Limited has designed a range of
these sympiesometers which are precise and easy to read and which are items of craftsmanship in oak, brass and glass.

Our Meteor2000 range of instruments are built upon the proven qualities of the earlier model, but now are
equipped with a host of new features including 0.1mB resolution, pressure gradient recording, on-demand forecasting

The Meteormonitor Range is a system of data acquisition, wireless telemetry, and environmental monitors which can be custom
designed and rapidly realised to meed the specific needs of an individual client. The system is centred on the Meteormetrics
Data Transponder which interfaces a wide range of sensors to a wireless data net to
allow remote sensors to report to a base unit linked to a computer. The Meteormonitor range also contains a hand-held monitor/controller.
a sophisticated analogue display unit, Windows software and Web interface. They Meteormonitor system has been designed to be
adaptable to many different situations in commercial, industial, agricultural and recreational settings.
Meteormetrics Limited will create a custom system using these various components and supply custom
software to suit the client's requirements, and since the individual units are predesigned, the Meteormonitor solution can be
